Biography

Evan has recently concluded his stint of 12 years as the Praise director of Jubilee Community Church, Cape Town, South Africa and is currently living in Dubai with his wife Tracy.

Evan is mostly associated with vibrant, joyful praise and is one of the few praise leaders who is able to combine different musical and cultural styles in a dynamic praise context. He is a regular worship leader at various Newfrontiers events both in South Africa and the UK and has travelled widely sharing his gift, teaching and leading God’s people in Praise.

A prolific songwriter and gifted musician, Evan has released many records over the years including some of his great congregational songs. A number of his songs also appear on various live recordings.

He is glad to have grown up and lived in South Africa with its unique opportunities and blend of cultures and this move to be part of Gateway church in Dubai is the next step in his adventure in God, to see many tribes and nations praising Jesus together.
